Interested in taking private lessons?

Are you over the age of 18 and looking to take some sailing lessons? Are you under the age of 18 and don't feel like summer camps or racing programs are the thing for you? Want a little extra attention outside your group sessions? Our private instruction option allows you to choose when to meet with an instructor for a one-on-one session! You can ask to have the lesson geared toward whatever you'd like: racing, learn to sail, technique for a specific boat type etc.  Check out our pricing below!

Interested in getting your US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification?

The Wayzata Community Sailing Center is a US Sailing Accredited Instructional Facility offering Basic Keelboat Certification for our students! 

Let us know that you want to get certified when you schedule your lessons with us!  If you are new to sailing, you can take the certification written test at the end of your 15-hour lesson package.  If you’ve been sailing for a while, sign up for a refresher lesson, schedule a practical exam and then take your written test!  In either case, there is a charge of $60 for a US Sailing Basic Keelboat Package which includes:

      US Sailing Basic Keelboat Textbook

      US Sailing Logbook (official record book to log sailing hours and US Sailing certifications)

      Keelboat Certification Standards Booklet (lists required practical skills)

      One Year Membership to US Sailing (once you pass your tests and we give you your certification!)
