Who should take this course? Beginner sailors, ages 5-6 who have not entered 1st grade.

What will my child learn? Our highly trained staff uses the US SAILING Certification System in an open learning environment. Instructors begin with a classroom activity and a land drill followed by on the water learning in one of our Pram boats. We ask parents to be sure to attend the first and last class. While students meet with one instructor, another instructor will meet with parents to talk about class expectations and learn more about your child. The final class includes a celebration time with parents and families you won’t want to miss.

Will my child have fun? Swimming, sailing games and other sailing related physical activities are interspersed throughout the evening in order to make this a fun and memorable experience!

What do we need to bring? Students are asked to bring their own snacks as well as a lifejacket, change of clothes, water shoes and towel.

Cost: $129.00 per student per session. Limit of 12 students per session.

Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel, you must notify the Wayzata Community Sailing Center  in writing at least two weeks prior to the start of the session to receive a refund (no e-mails or phone messages accepted).  There will be no refunds given after that time.  All refunds are subject to a $30 cancellation fee.
