Monday - Thursday Mornings

9:30a.m. - 12 p.m. 

Who should take this course? Beginner sailors, ages 5-6 who have not entered 1st grade.

What will my child learn? Our highly trained staff uses the US SAILING Certification System in an open learning environment. Instructors ease sailors into the sport with land drills followed by extensive on-water instruction. We ask parents to leave the instruction area during classes so as to gain the students' full attention. The final class includes a celebration time with parents and families you won’t want to miss, so please arrive 10-15 minutes early on Thursday.

Will my child have fun? Swimming, sailing games and other sailing related physical activities are interspersed throughout the classes in order to make this a fun and memorable experience! Our instructors are personable, energetic and love interacting with the students in order to make sailing camp a exciting learning experience for the sailors.

What do we need to bring? Students are asked to bring their own snacks as well as a lifejacket, a water bottle, change of clothes, water shoes and towel.

Cost: $129.00 per student per session. Limit of 12 students per session.

If you wish to cancel, you must notify the Wayzata Community Sailing Center in writing (via email or US mail) at least two weeks prior to the start of the session to receive a refund (no phone messages will be accepted). There will be no refunds given after that time. All refunds are subject to a $30 cancellation fee. If you wish to transfer your registration from one session to another, we would be happy to accommodate your request, however, you will be charged an additional $10 to cover account fees.
