Join us to honor the life and legacy of Daniel “Shino” Shinozaki. Funds raised go directly to the Daniel C. Shinozaki Memorial Fund, which supports the sailing community, and provides access to youth sailing for all, in the memory of Shino and his generous spirit.

About the event
Friends and family of Daniel "Shino" Shinozaki invite you to the 16th Annual Sailing with Shino gathering. The event is free, however donations for the memorial Fund are graciously accepted.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, since 2011, we’ve collectively raised nearly $65,000! Our 2026 fundraising goal is to raise $5,000 to maintain our mission of supporting children and area youth in learning to sail by sponsoring scholarships to sailing school and Sailing with Shino summer camp.
It’s always a joy to come together to share memories, discuss the mission of the Daniel C. Shinozaki Fund and share in a beautiful Minnesota summer day while sailing on the lake. The whole family is welcome to attend and enjoy:
