Fishing
Hands on with fish, we’re exploring our native environment, and what makes our unique underwater world tick.
What is this class?
This course has grown from the interest of our students, taking the excitement around fishing to a whole new level! Focused on fish, we’ll explore the biology of the lake, AIS, fish species themselves - all while catching a few catch-and-release style. Hands on with fish, we’re exploring our native environment, and what makes our unique underwater world tick.
How are the classes structured?
While a good portion of each class will focus on fishing itself, and getting to see our fishy friends, we’ll have a goal and lesson tied to each fishing session. These environmental lessons will teach us about our world, as well as help us learn more about the pursuit of the fish we hope to catch!
Do I need sailing skills? What should I bring?
This is a non-sailing class; however, you should come prepared to be in and out of the lake during class, so wearing a swimsuit is a must! Also recommended: towel, change of clothes, sun protection, water shoes, and a backpack to contain the mayhem. All other materials for lessons are provided. PFDs are required when in and on the water, but will be provided for those that do not have one.
